In a surprising partnership that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.

The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an special katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
