Missing key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.

A further three points in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct passage to the knockout stages, especially after a previous setback against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Seize the Moment

This occasion offered a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second game in match.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.

The only worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
