Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore available until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
